Marco Reus Got Highest Vote to be FIFA 17 Cover Star

An announcement released from EA Sports shows that this 27-year-old German player Marco Reus to be the winner out of the other candidates(James Rodriguez of Real Madrid C.F.,Anthony Martial of Manchester United,Eden Hazard of Chelsea FC). He got over 3.1 million votes from the fans. This voting last for two weeks. Eventually Macro Reus will feature FIFA 17 cover and replace Lionel Messi for the first time. 

 

Reus twittered to give gratitudes to fans who voted him.

Reus got somthing to say about this," I'm honored to join a very distinguished group of footballers to appear on the cover of FIFA." He continued "Most of all I am humbled that the fans have chosen me, and I will strive to make them proud with my performance on the pitch."

 

EA SPORTS FIFA Senior Producer Nick Channon has his own opinion about the Reus, "It is incredible to see how fans get behind their favorite player-Marco plays for a great club, is really fun to watch, and he is very popular in FIFA Ultimate Team, so it makes a lot of sense that the fans picked him," "Reus joins an elite group of international football superstars who have appeared on the cover of FIFA over the years."

 

Five years ago, FIFA 17 cover star transformed from Wayne Rooney to Messi. This time, EA Sports is doing the same thing and picking out a new star from the pitch.

 

FIFA 17 releases in North America on September 27 and worldwide on September 29 for the Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One.
